What You Need

To install and use this software, you need:

§         A personal computer and quality video display. EGView is best utilized with a screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater.

§         Microsoft Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP

§         Microsoft .Net Framework version 1.1. (Note: you must have the .Net Framework installed before EGView setup will run successfully. If you do not have .Net Framework version 1.1 installed, please visit http://www.microsoft.com to obtain the latest version of this software. If you have purchased EGView on CD-ROM, you will find DOTNETFX.EXE version 1.1 in the root directory for your convenience.)

§         Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.6 or greater.  (Note: If you do not have the MDAC version 2.6 or greater installed on your computer, EGView setup will install correctly, but it will fail to run. Please visit http://www.microsoft.com to obtain this software.  If you have purchased EGView on CD-ROM, you will find MDAC_TYP.EXE version 2.7 in the root directory for your convenience.)

Installing EGView from the Web

1.      If you downloaded EGView from the Web at http://www.EGTrends.com  double-click the EGViewSetup.exe file in the folder where you saved the EGView setup program.

2.      Follow the Setup Wizard instructions.

Installing EGView from CD-ROM

You can install EGView on Windows 98, NT and XP computers.

To install EGView on Windows 98, NT and XP computers:

1.      Insert the EGView CD-ROM in a CD-ROM drive.

2.      The EGTrends Welcome screen should appear automatically when you insert the CD-ROM; if it does not, open Windows Explorer and double-click the Setup.exe file on the EGView CD-ROM.

3.      Click Install Software Now on the Welcome screen.

Starting EGView

To start EGView, Double-Click on the EGView desktop icon or select EGView.exe from the Start Menu under Programs, EGView.

EGView is protected from piracy by licensing software. By default, you can use EGView in a trial capacity; however the functionality will be limited until you enter a valid registration serial number in the Product Registration dialog box.  The Product Registration dialog box is displayed each time you start EGView.
