Can I import data from my engine monitor directly into EGView?No, right now you must first download the data from your engine monitor and store it in a directory on your computer (follow the instructions provided by your monitor manufacturer). EGView only imports the non-compressed files (I.E. Avidyne .log, JPI .CSV and GEM .ASC extensions). Back to TopHow do I start looking at my data?1. Create an aircraft profile for your aircraft, make sure you select the monitor that is closest to the one you have in your plane. 2. Import Data File - When dialogue box opens make sure that your aircraft is selected in the drop-down box. Select Browse to go to directory where flight data (.csv, .log, etc) resides. Enter a comment for files selected and select OK. 3. On menu go to File / Open Flight. With your aircraft selected you can now select a specific flight based on the date. Back to TopHow can I send or share a graph with another person?Go to File/Save Chart menu - name and save file as a jpg file. Then you can easily attach file to an email or post. bmp, emf and jpg files are supported. I know I have OAT (TIT, oil Temp, etc.) data, but can not see it on graph?Verify that you have checked this parameter on the View Menu. If you don't see it there then select View/Options and check the parameter in the View Tab. How do I change my graph background?Select the properties icon on the graph toolbar. The Control Tab / Background sub tab allows you to change the background. Back to TopHow do I change the trace colors? If you want to change the trace colors go to the View/Options menu (View tab) and click on the colored boxes by the traces. Back to TopI don't see my flights?Did you select the proper profile? You must have profile for your aircraft selected in dropdown box. Did you import data into wrong profile? Are the flights of short duration? If you have a flight that has zero (0) length then you might have to go to the View/Options menu General Tab and make sure that the you have 0.0 in the Display flights longer than . . box. Back to TopCan I change my single engine plane to a multi-engine one? No, you must create a new profile for a twin engine aircraft with a monitor that supports twin engine data.Back to TopHow do I see individual data values for the traces? Select the cursor from the graph toolbar and all values for the traces will be displayed on the right side of the legend. You can drag the cursor to any point on the graph and the values will follow. Back to TopWhy don't my EGT and CHT DIFF numbers show up in the data window? These numbers are calculated from the data and not written into the database. (If you have a JPI monitor you will have EGT Diff in your raw data). Back to TopMy CHT traces are under the EGT traces and I can't see them? Click and drag the CHT axis on the right side of graph to move the CHT traces up or down. And/or click and drag the EGT axis on the left side of graph. Back to TopWhen I load another flight my CHT traces are back under my EGT traces? Go to the View/Options menu and select the Defaults tab. You can set the default axis scales here to make your data as viewer friendly as possible on initial loading. Back to TopCan I hide nuisance or short flights or should I delete them? Yes - go to the View/Options menu General Tab and set a value higher than 0.0 in the Display flights longer than . . box.
